a) Test reference: Criterion of Disinfection Technology
issued by Ministry of health in 1991
b) Material:
i. Testing bacterium:
Colon bacillus (8099);
Golden yellow staphylococcus (ATCC6538) (hereinafter for
short golden staphylococcus)
ii. Equipments: pipette, panel, test tube, culture medium,
etc.
iii. Neutralization reagent: 0.5% hyposulphite.
4. Means:
The quantificational disinfecting test:
Put tap water in washing machine to median water level,
and then add bacterium-suspending liquid to make bacterium
content up to 106 cfu/ml. After blending even
add a laundry ball. Then start up the washing machine.
Sample 0.5 ml from the washing machine after washing for
a certain period, and add 4.5 ml neutralization reagent.
After blending evenly count the amount of live bacterium.
At the same time, do the control experiment with the water
before adding laundry ball.
5. Result:
The quantificational disinfecting test: Adopt Colon
bacillus and Golden staphylococcus, repeat the test for
5 times, and the mean value of the result is as in the
following table:
