Should this be mixed with activated carbon and then filled or should be used as a separate ?

It will be better to make a cartridge together with coconut shell active carbon so that it will improve the taste of water filtered. If by the rate of Half and Half, the quantity is 355-365g/pcs for ORP ball.
Method: Put ORP ball and coconut shell active carbon into a cartridge blocked off by a filter net in the middle of the cartidge. The ORP ball is in the input and Active carbon is in the output part.
