Stain Removal of Spinach

With its dark color and stringy consistency, spinach can often make a difficult stain to remove, especially on lightly colored clothing. The secret is to treat the stain as soon as possible. Make sure to test the garment for colorfastness with all stain removal techniques.
Stain Removal Step 1.
Treat this stain as quickly as possible. Place upside down on a clean cloth or plain white paper towel.
Stain Removal Step 2.
Test rubbing alcohol in a hidden spot on the garment to see if it is colorfast. Many garments can have rubbing alcohol safely sponged onto them to remove spinach. Do not use rubbing alcohol on wool. Make sure for nylon fabrics, that the alcohol is diluted. Sponge the stain with rubbing alcohol or with laundry detergent.
Stain Removal Step 3.
Rinse well with cold water.
Stain Removal Step 4.
Use a paste of three tablespoons of baking soda and one tablespoon of water.
Apply the baking soda paste to the stain. Rub in gently with a laundry brush or toothbrush. Vinegar can also be substituted.
Stain Removal Step 5.
After letting the paste stand on the stain for 5 minutes, rinse well.
Stain Removal Step 6.
Repeat the steps above until the stain is gone.
Stain Removal Step 7.
Rub the stain with a stain remover stick, gel, or spray.
Stain Removal Step 8.
After 5 minutes wash in the washing machine with a liquid detergent.
