fog proof and frost proof. Textile processed with this technology
has functions of waterproof and oil proof. and the clothing
of oil worker is no more full with oil mark …… Institute
of Chemistry of CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) declares here
today that after many years of study with great concentration
our scientists get good achievement again on the research about
nano material: the group led by researcher JiangLei in Institute
of Chemistry of CAS not only firstly put forward the structural
theory of the Binary Coordinated Nano Material, but also develop
a series of nano interface material with fantastic function.
Nanometer is a kind of measure, equals to billionth.
Matter in nanometer size has many unusual characteristics. When
nano technology comes into the world it is identified and favored
by scientist around the world. The development of nano technology
comes to research in every field rapidly. Surface and surface
science of nanometer have developed in full flourish in recent
years.
In research of these years, the group of JiangLei,
who is the chief scientist assistant of national subject group
of “nano material and nano structure” and doctor
of Institute of Chemistry of CAS, have found that if make two
kinds of incompatible materials to nano measure, they will have
coordinated interaction under specified conditions and show
special property in macro scope. “Binary coordinated nano
interface material ” namely means processing specially
to the material surface to set up a binary coordinated nano
interface structure in material macroscopic surface so as to
make the material have particular property.
Using this research result, scientists have developed
a kind of interface substance material with both super hydrophile
and super lipophilic. Surface of glass and building material
decorated with this material have functions such as self-cleaning,
fog proof etc.
Researchers also have developed a kind of interface
substance material with both super hydrophoby and super oleophobic.
Textile decorated with this material has functions of waterproof
and oil proof. At present, scientists have successfully applied
these nano interface materials in fields of dress and building
material etc.
Chinese Commodity Transaction Center and Institute
of Chemistry of CAS have already jointly founded a company in

People have common understanding on surface and
interface science at present stage. There can form various interface
between different matters, such as metal, inorganic, organic,
semi conductor and biomaterial interface. Research found that
many important phenomena. With the aid of fantastic functions
and features of surface and interface, which generated by contact
and amalgamation of different materials, create newly typed
materials and parts. That has become the guiding ideology in
many research fields.
In the eyes of physical opinion, surface phase
of condensed state matter has symmetry and free energy, which
is different from bulk phase. When matter is reduced from the
macroscopic size to microscopic size the influence of surface
phase to material physical property will not be allowed to neglect.
Hence, the design and control of surface phase must be the key
point for researching newly typed interface materials.
The new concept “Binary Coordinated Nano
Interface Material” is different from traditional single
bulk phase material. It is to build binary coordinated nano
interface structure on the macroscopic surface of the material.
Design philosophy of the interface material is that people do
not always seek for composing bran-new bulk phase material.
After adopting certain special surface to process, can form
greatly farraginous two dimensional surface phase fields with
two different characters in microscopic size. and the area of
every phase field and “interface” built by two phase
is nanometer size. Research showed that nano phase with different
even completely opposite physical and chemical property under
certain condition was of cooperated counter action so that there
presented transnormal interface physical property on macroscopic
surface, namely binary coordinated nano interface material.
To the knowledge of duality in material world
our ancestors had already realized to utilize logic thought

activity. For example, binary coordinated interface structure

efficient photocatalytic effect under the ultraviolet radiation.

Binary Coordinated Nano Interface Material
1. Background and significance of research
Recently, surface and interface technology of
nanometer level has developed prosperously. Though some new
science pattern is under foundation, they have provided favorable
opportunity for rising intersectional research of such important
subjects as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Material Science and
Nanometer Technology. " Binary coordinated nanometer interface
material" is a brand new subject of this level, which has
bearing on advanced functioning material research. So far, people
has gained a common sense on surface and interface technology
that various interface can be formed between different materials,
for instance, many momentous discoveries occurs in the research
on metal, inorganic, organic, semiconductor and biologic materials.
In 20 years only, to create new material and apparatus by dint
of surface and interface functioning speciality resulting from
contact and amalgamation of heterogeneity materials has become
the rudder of a lot of research field.
By physical concept, surface phase of condensed
state matter possess symmetry speciality and natural energy

author’s research team recently. In recent years, rapid
developing binary molecule material and nano science have provided
new research content and direction for the theory and experiment
of binary coordinated nano interface structure. We have published
over 20 pieces of discourses on the side, and applied 3 patents.
After putting forward the concept of binary coordinated nano
interface material, it has been paid big attention by science
community and enterprise community both here and abroad. We
have ever been invited to give a report in “national nano
structure material conference” hold in HK, and it is estimated
as “our ignoring new area”. Chinese Commodity Transaction
Center has invested 20 million yuan to drive its industrialization,
and has attracted several big enterprises to develop the special
industry, and it is hopeful to realize the industrial scale
in one year.
The duality of material world is infinitude, and
binary coordinated nano interface material will be also infinitude
permutation and combination. Along with rapid development of
science, the research about binary coordinated nano interface
material will enter a new developing time, and a new and colorful
world of high grade functional materials will wait for us.
