What is the difference between Tendonitis & Bursitis?
Tendonitis - microscopic tears within the tendon - normally causes sharp pain when moving your joints. Bursitis is usually a dull persistent pain that increases with movement. Bursitis usually has more swelling though some swelling may be visible with both ailments. (see diagram B)
In chronic tendonitis, calcium deposits can develop in the tendon fibers causing increased pain and reducing flexibility.
