FAQ of Super Dual Distant Nano Antifouling


Q: Is there Silica Crystalline-Tripoli in the ingredient of Water And Oil Repellent?
A: There is absolutely no Silica Crystalline-Tripoli in the ingredient of Water And Oil Repellent. The ingredient of polymeric adhesives in our Water And Oil Repellent is PAG copolymer resin (aqueous, PAG is the abbreviation of Photoacid Generator). Foreigner invented PGA copolymer resin, which was one kind of auxiliary agent specially used for textile. We pass through finishing process after import, then use in Water And Oil Repellent. It is absolutely no toxin and no harm, belonging to environmental protection products. It is widely used for costume outside material, such as sportswear, underwear, window curtain and non-woven, etc fields.

Q: What is the most important chemical ingredient that takes part in reaction during the course of compounding PAG copolymer resin? And which number is its CAS number?
A: During the course of compounding PAG copolymer resin there are so many chemical ingredients that take part in reaction. It is very hard to state one by one. But among them the most important chemical ingredient is“perfluorooctyl iodide”. Its CAS number is 507-63-1. Why we do not enumerate it in the MSDS and say “PAG copolymer resin” is “absolutely no toxin and no harm,……”? Because almost all fluoric materials are not environmental protection (including perfluorooctyl iodide, it is also“irritant” ), it is meaningless to singly enumerate its CAS number. When people adopt Telomerization, using materials such as C2F5I/C2F4 in the preparation, under the action of peroxide initiator go along photo telomeric reaction to produce. Pass by complex technological process to obtain perfluorooctyl iodide intermediate. Then perfluoroctyl iodide must process emulsion copolymerization with other unsaturated monomers. Among various reactions further transform into another important intermediate, perfluoroalcohol and react to compound organic fluorocarbon——PAG copolymer resin. Hence, fluoric materials and fluoric iodide intermediate are not equal to organic fluorine compound (namely PAG copolymer resin), because the toxicity and harm of fluoric materials during the course of serial reactions and re-preparation have been wiped off. The reason is same as toothpaste. Hydrogen fluoride is the necessary material of toothpaste, with toxin and harm. But after hydrogen fluoride passed by many times chemical reactions and re-preparation in industrial process, and made into toothpaste, although among the toothpaste it must contain less fluoride, it is no toxin and no harm to human body.

Q: How about the washable of Water And Oil Repellent?
A: The washable time of our product is at least more than 30times (The data is very conservative and in fact it is about 50times). That is because the antifouling composition is made of nanometer material, and its special ingredient has filtered into textile fibre and solidified. It is also difficult to reduce its washable times.

Q: How about the quality of Water And Oil Repellent you produced?
A: We offered samples of Water And Oil Repellent (namely nanometer cotton chaka cloth and nanometer artificial real silk elasticized cloth ) which have been tested according to the standard “GB/T 4745-1997” and “FZ/T 01067-1999” by China national quality supervising and testing center of wool fabrics in January of 2005. The real tested result shows that the capability of waterproof and oil proof both reach 5th grade (first-rate).

Q: Why “The treated fabrics is not suitable for hand washing”?
A: Because the molecular structure mixed into the fabric of Water And Oil Repellent will be damaged if adopting hand washing. But it can be washed with washing machine. (Washable times are 50times more, and its antifouling effect can keep above 95%). The product can’t be diluted. So called “water contain is not less than 20%”means the proportion between clothing dry and humidity. Water And Oil Repellent does not contain mucilage glue by itself. During using it is solidified through penetrating into textile fibre. Then clothing having used Water And Oil Repellent has the capability of anti color, more solid, with better feeling. After being washed it certainly can be worn. Its main ingredient of Water And Oil Repellent is no harm to human body. It also is material allowed by European Union.

Q: Can you offer raw material or semi-finished products of Water And Oil Repellent?
A: Due to the reason of technology, we can’t offer raw materials. But, we can offer semi-finished products. That is the concentrated extract of Water And Oil Repellent. Our finished product namely 1kg concentrated extract add 5kg pure water (Using domestic Reverse Osmosis filter equipment). When diluting with water, it needs stirring at the same time pouring the concentrated extract. When diluting with mass water, it’s better to use electronic stirrer, so as to dilute evenly. Quality of this kind of concentrated extract can be absolutely guaranteed, but its price is lower than its finished products, and it can save transportation cost.

Q: Which product can be used for textile?
A: Currently one type of products our company used for textile (including clothing, etc.) is mostly tourmaline negative ion serial product, including Nanometer Silver Antibacterial Powder. The other is Water And Oil Repellent, and Self Cleaning Coating, etc.

Q: Is there any difference between Water And Oil Repellent and Self-cleaning Coating?
A: Yes, please kindly distinguish the two products: Water And Oil Repellent is mainly used for textile fabrics. In substance it is not photocatalyst product. But Self Cleaning Coating used for outer wall is photocatalyst product. It is mainly used for the façade of building, especially for glass, marble and tiles, etc.

Q: When we applied Super Dual Distant Nanometer Antifouling Composition on treating the tablecloth, we found that its effect to olive oil and meat tomato soup was not good, but it could resist well to water and vine. Whether it was our fault on applying process because we used spray bottle and iron when applying?
A: Your applying process should not be wrong. I guess, maybe the problem is the tablecloth. In the Instruction For Washing of super dual distant and super biparental products, the seventh point is “Textiles being coated and textiles made of glue fabrics are not suitable for this auxiliary”. I doubt that the tablecloth your customer used is quite probably this kind of tablecloth that has been sprayed or coated pigment layer, or tablecloth made of artificially synthetic colloid cotton. Because generally restaurants like to use this kind of coated cloth that doesn’t breathe freely and penetrate water, or tablecloth made of gelatine outside material. But very pity that super dual distant and super biparental products we manufactured and provided are not suitable for coated cloth and synthetic cloths made of colloid cotton. In common situation, the best application effect of super dual distant products is natural fibre cloth (such as cotton and hemp etc), then chemical fibre cloth.
If your customer has bought super dual distant products and been ready to use on coated cloth or gelatine tablecloth, in order to reduce his loss, you can suggest that he increases the spray or coat of super dual distant products, or soak several times. After spraying or coating, or soaking every time, must iron at high temperature, then repeat the operation. The tablecloth after being treated like this for 3~5times, although its effect for oil-repellent is still not the best, more or less it will have some oil repellent function. You might try it?
